Regional Study on Sustainable Building Policies on Energy Efficiency in Southeast Asia

The Regional Study is a joint effort by BCA CSB and UNEP-SBCI, which aims to provide an overview of the policies and initiatives put in place by respective Southeast Asian countries in promoting the development of sustainable buildings, in particular the aspect of energy efficiency. The nine countries focused under this study include Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

There are two phases under this study. The first phase includes the state-of-play reports for the nine countries and the second phase involves the development of analytical Regional Status Report (RSR).

Sustainable Building Index (SB Index)

Key Project Partner: UNEP-SBCI

BCA CSB is contributing to the development of UNEP-SBCI’s Sustainable Building Index. This project is to provide a globally consistent framework at the city/building stock level for policy makers and building portfolio owners to measure, report and verify actual building performance on core sustainability issues.
